Sergei Averin is the Representative of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, an organisation that works very closely with the Russo-British Chamber of Commerce.
Sergei was born in the Siberian town of Borzia, Russia, located close to the Mongolian and Chinese borders. He studied Chinese and English languages, Economics and International Law; and has received a formal education from the following institutions: Chita Teacher Training College (Russia, 1992); Huhot Teacher Training University (China, 1990); Irkutsk Narodnaya Academy (Russia, 1994); New York Hunter College (USA, 1996) and the Moscow Academy of Foreign Trade (Russia, 2010).
In 2014, Sergei worked as a Chief Expert at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation in Moscow, promoting Russian - Chinese bilateral business relations, amongst other responsibilities.
