Baker McKenzie Announces Three Promotions in Russia and Ukraine

Moscow, Russia, 2 July 2018 — Global law firm Baker McKenzie announced three promotions in its Kyiv and Moscow offices, which further strengthen the Firm’s position in the region and span a range of multijurisdictional practices — Corporate Mergers and Acquisitions, Tax and Healthcare. The promotions are effective from 1 July 2017.

Kirill Vikulov and Sergei Lomakin have been promoted to partners in Moscow, and Olha Demianiuk is now a partner in the Kyiv office.

  • Olha Demianiuk has been working in the Kyiv office since 2005. Olha specializes in private M&A, both cross-border and domestic, and cross-border equity capital market deals in various industries. Olha also advises clients on establishment of joint ventures and corporate restructuring. Olha has lead the Healthcare practice group since 2015. She focuses on the healthcare sector advising clients on domestic and cross-border transactions, regulatory, commercial and other matters.
  • Sergei Lomakin has been working in the Moscow office since 2006. Sergei specializes in a wide array of life science areas: pharmaceuticals, medical devices, healthcare, telemedicine, cell technologies, food, veterinary medicines and feeds. He advises on research and development, registration, regulatory, local manufacturing, reimbursement, public procurement, advertising, liability, compliance and other issues important for life science businesses in Russia.
  • Kirill Vikulov has been working in the Moscow office since 2007. Kirill has extensive experience in advising on complex tax matters such as the international tax structuring of companies in the oil & gas and other sectors. He also advises on the formation of joint ventures; provides legal support to M&A transactions, corporate restructurings, and various operations on the financial and stock markets; and advises on international holding and financial structures, taking into account changes in Russian tax law and international practice.
