RBCC Business Briefing with HM Ambassador Tony Brenton CMG
17th January 2007

London. On 17th January 2007, over 60 RBCC members and guests attended the business briefing with HM Ambassador Tony Brenton CMG.
This event was supported by Marsh Ltd and was held at their headquarters in central London. Participants were welcomed by Andrew Voke, the Marine and Energy Leader of Marsh Ltd with further discussion chaired by Godfrey Cromwell, RBCC Executive Director.
Mr Brenton has been a British Ambassador to the Russian Federation since 2004, having previously served for four years as the Economic Counsellor in Moscow. Mr Brenton presented an informative address to the audience entitled - “Russia in 2007 – Still worth the Risk?”
The address was a characteristically candid and informative insight into the political, social and economic issues that face Russia in 2007, outlining the risks and benefits associated with investing into the Russian market. It allowed for an engaging discussion between the guests and the speaker.
We would like to thank Mr Brenton for taking time to meet with the RBCC members and guests and for sharing his thoughts with us.
Thank you very much to Marsh Ltd and their team for their kind support particularly Joanne Alamango, Simon Bradshaw, Carole Porter and Andrew Voke, all of whom helped to make this briefing possible.
