Emily Olson

Member of the Board, RBCC

Emily Olson is accountable for government relations, communications and corporate affairs. She is responsible for managing key political and business relationships in Moscow, London, Berlin, Washington D.C. and Brussels. In addition, Emily supports the BP executive team and BP board on matters related to our Russia business.

Emily joined BP in 2009 and has held senior roles in Washington D.C, Houston and London. Most recently, Emily was the vice president of communications and external affairs for the Southern Gas Corridor, where she held accountability for the political and external relations in the delivery of Shah Deniz and the Southern Gas Corridor. Additionally, she served as Chief of Staff to the deputy group chief executive as well as the Chairman of the Board.

Prior to BP, Emily spent over a decade in Washington D.C. working for the US Congress focusing on developing energy and transportation policy.

Emily holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and a Masters in International Relations from the London School of Economics. Emily is married with two children and based in London.
