Speaker: David Cant, Managing Director, Albion Overseas

David has worked in Russia for his entire career, starting in the late 1980’s, as the USSR representative of a USA trading company. Based in Moscow, he rose to the position of CIS Director, and ran their Russian office through some of the most turbulent times in Russia’s recent past.

In the mid-nineties, he returned to the UK and became an Export Promoter, seconded to the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), advising UK companies how to do business in Russia.

There followed a period of seven years as Executive Director of the Russo-British Chamber of Commerce (RBCC), where he opened their Moscow office, built a new team, expanded the Chamber’s range of activities and events, and trebled their turnover.

David founded Albion (Overseas) Ltd, to work with Russia.

A fluent Russian speaker, David is a frequent business traveller to Russia, and commentator in the media.
