Networking Evening with Ernst & Young 2nd April 2019

Our monthly networking event once again proved popular amongst guests, thanks to the wonderful venue and catering provided by our host EY. Opening with a fascinating and illuminating presentation delivered by EY’s Chief Economist Mark Gregory, the tone was certainly set for an evening of innovative dialogue.

Mark detailed the importance of the labour market and its influence over economic growth, stressing that shifting focus onto the development of this area will surely reap significant rewards for society as a whole. The heightened political risk stemming from Brexit was also discussed, as Mark elaborated that such risk has resulted in a depression in investment from foreign investors, before finally providing an overall macroeconomic outlook over the forthcoming years.

Following the presentation saw time for some networking and general socialising amongst RBCC members and guests, with the chance to become more closely acquainted with EY staff in attendance.

The RBCC would like to thanks all those who attended, and we hope to see you all at future Chamber events. We would once again like to express our gratitude to hosts EY, and in particular Oleksandr Vertyporokh, who played a pivotal role in the event’s organisation.
